SYSTEM OPTIONS: SUPERSAFE TANK COMPONENTS
SuperSafe Tanks Aviation System
Control Panel. The purpose of this design is to enhance the safety and control over all functions related to
the fueling activity. This control panel combines the storage tank sensor inputs and the fuel pumping systems controls
into a logical user friendly display that will eliminate the known historical risks associated with this activity.

The panel is built in a rugged
NEMA-4 Hoffman enclosure with a weather tight gasket edged hinged door. It is situated outside of the defined hazardous
area but is located within easy reach and view of the system operator. The functions and displays presented at
this location are:
- Supervisory keyed three position control switch: On / Off / Bypass.
- Key locked 'Bypass' feature removes all automatic safety features.
- Illuminated 'Power On' and 'Bypass Warning' position lights.
- Illuminated 'Deadman Interrupt' condition light.
- Warning Light, tank high level alarms and automatic pump shut down.
- Warning Light, water detection in filter sump and automatic pump shut down.
- Warning Light, bonding / grounding lost and automatic pump shut down.
- Warning Light, interstitial tank leak with alarms.
- Alarm Silence button to silence 100 dB horn, however the flashing strobe remains on until situation is corrected.
- Pump motor enabled On / Off switch.
- Emergency Stop mushroom button, removes power from all equipment.
- Maintenance light On / Off switch.
- Power terminal junction box.
This control panel is in full compliance
with NFPA-30, -407 and NEC-70 514 - 515. With the industry moving more frequently to above-ground fuel tanks and
combining them with high volume pumping systems, situations are frequently occurring where the cross training between
proper tank management and the fueling of airport refueling trucks doesn't happen. This has lead to numerous situations
where the lost of pumping controls has resulted in severe financial exposure due to, environmental catastrophe,
loss of equipment and life due to fire and lost of revenue and reputation. Providing all of these features, strategically
located, and conveniently placed increases the situational awareness of the equipment operator and promotes safe
operational practices.
